Ella Festival at El Pesquero

The restaurant El Pesquero was the chosen backdrop for the closing of the ELLA International Lesbian Festival, offering a sample of the best Mediterranean cuisine. In an unrivalled setting, the guests enjoyed some of the house specialties, including tuna tartare, Mediterranean tartare and a succulent fishermen’s paella. An exquisite menu accompanied by a fine selection of Mallorcan wines.

Held in Palma 2 – 8 September, this was the third celebration of a festival that brings together people from all around world to take part in culture, music, art, sports and gastronomy. The previous year’s event boasted a turnout of nearly 2,000 women from more than 20 different countries worldwide. This year, the participants enjoyed historic tours, bicycle rides, theme parties, strolls along the sea and wine tastings, among many other organised activities. The latest features this year’s event were the film festival and talks which were given by special guests including the former Prime Minister of Iceland, Jóhanna Sigurdardóttir.
