MallorcaCB’s 40th Anniversary
In a moving ceremony held at the Hotel Castillo Son Vida, the Mallorca Convention Bureau celebrated its 40th anniversary as the promoter of Mallorca as the finest MICE destination in the Med. During the celebration, accolades were presented to MallorcaCB founder Tomeu Bosch, along with three past presidents of the association: Pedro Iriondo, Marco Paredes and Martí Adrover. Former president Juan M. Caldentey, who passed away last year, was also remembered in a poignant tribute. A different award was given to MallorcaCB’s most senior members, which have formed part of the association since its beginning and continue to do so today: Hotel Palace Bonanza Playa & Spa and Hotel Castillo Son Vida.
Ramón Vidal, the current president of MallorcaCB, called attention to the essential role played by the honourees throughout the history of the association, as well as the magnificent moment that Mallorca is experiencing today as a MICE destination and the great opportunities that await the island in the future. The celebration was drawn to a close by Andreu Serra, the Regional Minister of Tourism of the Mallorca Island Council, who underscored the importance of public-private cooperation in the future promotion of Mallorca as a MICE destination.
